I only just now learned that the General and Politics forums closed. Oh no! I wasn't too active on the forums... but boy oh boy was I a decade ago! Kind of. It is a problem with the internet, but it is not a problem with Newgrounds. I do not blame them. Things are not like they used to be, and that is the way the internet is going. Hmm... oh well. The other forums are still great. I intend to continue using the Audio forums. Still a great place with great people. I know we are good people.
Anyway... I've been doing more songs. Unfortunately they use copyrighted samples, and I will be unable to post them here. I cannot help but put quotes from Snatcher in my songs... they fit so well. I love you, Snatcher. 36 songs done for the album so far. Still looking for label help. If not... I'll see when it feels appropriate to stop. For my last album, I wanted to have more than 100 songs. For the majority of its production, I was confident I would make more than 100 songs for it. That's why there's three digits for every song name number. But I got to 48 and my gut told me that was enough. So that was that!
The songs on my new album are longer on average than the ones on OMOIDMED. They are largely more fleshed out, and better-mixed. However, I am still always taking the most enjoyable path than the most strictly rigorous one, and I do on occasion fade out instead of think of a proper outro, or just jump right into the main part of the song. I also like to play with speed, and to repeat portions of songs at higher and lower speeds. I think a change in speed introduces a change in focus of the timbre of the sound that I just find really fun. I'm addicted to it. I hope you all will excuse me upon release.
Anyway... who knows when it will feel appropriate for me to stop with this album. I'm waiting on parts from many friends of mine. I also have other parts from other friends of mine already ready. It's all going to be so good. I'm very proud of how I've evolved. These songs are amazing. Great stuff. I promise you all will love it.
